Use the chart to determine how much silicone you will need for your project. Determine how many linear feet are in ONE 10.3 FL. OZ. tube of silicone, based on the joint width and depth.
Beading Large Doors & Windows Best option is to bead out the Xalon FS on to a non-porous surface, like a metal table. Let it will skim coat for about 15 minutes (minimum) to 30 minutes, then pick it up and gently push it into the window frame to glass interface area. You can do the whole bead at once or in sections, avoiding gaps. As it hardens, but less than 60 minutes, you can mold it into desired shape. Then you can hold the bead in place with blue painters tape if needed and let it cure for 72 hours minimum. After that you can apply your white caulk over it to make it look nice. |

| Concrete Warning |
| Since aluminum is subject to attack by alkaline(s) it should NOT be allowed to come in direct contact with concrete or mortar. If aluminum is in contact with concrete (or even other metals) and is subject to wetting (as would happen outdoors), the aluminum should be insulated from the concrete, mortar, or metal by adding a barrier like: asphalts, paint, sealer, 6 mil plastic polyurethane sheeting or a neoprene adhesive. Use waterproofing concrete sealer if you know water might get in, on or through the concrete. If the aluminum foil shielded room has fire sprinklers installed, it is good idea to water seal the concrete floor, just in case of an intentional or unintentional water discharge. |
