Universal Shielding Corp (USC) EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) Filters are designed to reject or pass selected frequencies or interference that are present on a power or signal line. USC EMI/RFI filters consist of only passive elements; inductors, capacitors, and in some cases resistors. Combinations are used to block EMI caused by electromagnetic induction (conducted emissions) or electromagnetic radiation (radiated emissions). When this unfavorable interference in located within the transmitted radio frequency range it is considered Radio Frequency Interference (RFI). USC EMI power filters are made with all metal housings to shield our filter output from exposure to any radiated interference. Why you need an EMI Shielded Room Filter? EMI/RFI power line filters are specially designed to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) with other devices by blocking the high-frequency signals associated with interference. The EMI/RFI filters block both incoming and outgoing interference, keeping your device running smoothly without disrupting other equipment. The EMI filter also maintains the shielding effectiveness of the RF shielded room, typically 100dB from 14KHz to 40GHz, in accordance with MIL-STD-220C. Additionally, the Universal EMI filters feature voltage ratings of 277/480 VAC at 60 Hz and current ratings of 1 to 800 Amps. Jump To Facility EMI Filter Cabinets Webpage
