A4001 ESD Target is designed by David Pommerenke (The designer and writer of the ESD Target in standard committee) a wideband ESD Target for calibration of ESD Simulators to the Latest IEC 61000-4-2 Edition and ISO 10605.

Meets the requirements of IEC 61000-4-2 Edition 2 Annex B (Normative) for a coaxial current target required for the calibration of ESD Simulators. This new current sensor designed by David Pommerenke is designed to measure the ESD discharge current with high precision and is a large improvement over previous designs.

Frequency ringing and noise that might exist. Now that higher bandwidth oscilloscopes are readily available, an improved current becomes necessary otherwise measurements are still limited by the older target design.

This new target is available either with or without a 6 dB or 20dB attenuator and a cable, both of which are necessary for connection to the oscilloscope.

The attenuator provides return loss and the cable is be used as the connection to the oscilloscope. The frequency response specifications below are taken with the complete assembly.

Connectors are N type. The cable provided will be either RG-400 or 1/4 inch semi-flex.

A4003 ESD Current Target/Adapter Line is a complete calibration kit for ESD simulators, current targets, and target adapter lines per the standard IEC61000-4-2.

The set includes one ESD Current Target, one ESD Current Adapter Line, cable, and choice of 6dB or 20db attenuator. The set also comes with a calibration certificate and storage case.
