RF Shielded Pouch:

FOBLOK™ pouch secures your keyless ignition FOB from RF & microwave interference and/or emissions. FOBLOK RF EMI shielding pouch is US made with a double layer conductive silver/copper/nickel RoHS compliant material. Base material has average shielding effectiveness of -85dB in the range of 30 MHz to 1 GHz and an average -80dB in the range of 1 GHz to 11 GHz. Material has been tested by an independent lab to Mil-STD-285.

Pouch alone can be used for short term storage in the car, time varies from vehicle manufacture.

Pouch by itself is ideal for every day protection of you keyless FOB, just lock your vechicle, put your FOB in the pouch and seal it. Then just remove your FOB from the pouch, when you get back to your car.

RF Shielded Container:

A bison-style EMI / RFI shielded anodized aluminum capsule. Crush-proof, weather-proof (fitted with a custom O-ring for better protection) and critter-proof. This is the perfect FOB pouch container.

The outside dimensions measure 4.15" High including hanging post (3.6" not including post) x 2.16" Diameter.

Pouch & Container System must be used together, for long term storage in the car.

FOBLOK™ Instructions

For keyless FOB locked in car and you have the emergency key with you

Take the FOBLOK pouch out of the FOBLOK container

Remove Your Emergency Key from FOB

(Some emergency keys are not removable, please have a duplicate made at a locksmith)

Interior dimensions of pouch:  ≈ 2.75" x 4"

Insert FOB into pouch

Close the pouch and press the Velcro firmly to seal

Insert the sealed and closed pouch into the container

You might have to try a couple orientations and folds to get the sealed pouch into the container

Screw on the top on the container. Snug it up you do not need to torque on it.

Put the container into your glove box or center console. Lock the glove box with your emergency key or just put it somewhere out of sight and easy to get to from the driver's door.

Vehicle manufacturers have different security systems and how they handle "No Remote Key Present", so you will have to experiment on how to lock the car.

On most newer cars, the driver's door handle, is the only handle that can be opened with the emergency key.

Some cars are as easy as, close the drivers door and use your emergency key to lock the door, make sure all your other doors are locked before you do this.

While you would still be able to use your emergency car key to access the vehicle, many keyless systems also activate a car alarm that will go off even when you open the car with your own key. If this is the case, open the door, get your Fob out of the FOBLOK and push the unlock button, on the FOB. This will turn off the alarm.

For spare keyless FOB storage in your car

Take the FOBLOK pouch out of the FOBLOK container

Get your spare keyless FOB with or without emergency key installed

Interior dimensions of pouch:  ≈ 2.75" x 4"

Insert your FOB into pouch

Close the pouch and press the Velcro firmly to seal

Check that the car does not know the key is present. With the car unlocked and the your keyless remote in the FOBLOK in the car, push the start button. You will get a warning light or message, that no key FOB detected (this varies from car maker)

Put the container anywhere inside the vehicle, that is hidden and convenient to get to. Do not store in area that is exposed to direct sunlight.
